Well, this is it. We need to disconnect the computer in order to move it. We haven't made up our minds about new internet service, so it might be a while before I can post again. I'll try to write a few words from Houston while I'm there next weekend.
There's not much to report here. We've just been working, working, working on the new condo. Check out its blog, link to the right -->
Stay well, Bloggers. I'll be back up soon.

Too Tired to Blog
I can barely keep my eyes open. I can feel the fatigue through my whole body, and if I don't start taking care of myself, I'm going to get sick like the rest of my family. But I trudge on. I go over to the new condo every night. I paint. I clean. I come back to the apartment. I read blogs, but I've been too out of it to put down any of my own thoughts. I did, however, visit Sam's Stories for the first time. I liked her pet kitten, so I got myself my own pet. Meet Henry --> He's a nice little duck, and follows where ever your mouse may go on my screen. Say, "Hi!"
So, I'm off again to go to the condo. My days have been going like this all week: 5:30am, alarm. 5:45, up. 6:55, leave for school. 7:15-3:15, work. 3:15-10:30ish, work at condo. 11:00-11:30, to bed at the apartment. I need a break. That'll come next week. I hope we can move our stuff on Saturday. Rook has been in charge of getting people to help, mainly people with trucks. My VW Beetle doesn't carry much. I have no idea if he has anybody. He better, since we have to be totally out of the apartment before we leave for Houston next week. I'm babbling. I need some sleep.
In one week I'll be in Houston. WooHOOO!!! I'm excited that we'll be there during the World Series. That's totally cool. I'm a baseball nut. Not that I'll get to go to any WS games, but I'll be able to feel the vibe. I'll also be there, actually at the doctor, when my Godson, Berry Boy (he's not a baby anymore), gets his first stitches out. OUCH! What a boy. Peace Out, Brotha'!

I'm a Homeowner! (Who'd of thunk it?)
Well, we did it. We close don the condo yesterday morning. There were a few hiccups here and there, but it's all done. It's ours. So far we've had a gas and water line installed for appliances. The stove and fridge we delivered this afternoon, with only one small hitch...

What's worng with this picture? That's right! The stove doesn't fit in the opening! We havte to get teh condo guy over to see what he can do, otherwise we know a counter guy that can fix it.
That's it so far. I'm posting a bunch of new pictures on the home site, if you care to look. Check the link to your right. -->
I'm just tired now, and a little stiff. I never knew painting was so taxing. Buenos noches!

Buying a home is painful
Hi, there. I haven't been up to posting this week, and I'm still not. I just thought I'd give a little update on the whole condo purchase. All is good, for now. I think this is the most stressful thing I have ever done. I am so tense. My muscles are sore and I keep waking myself up at night. I keep getting these muscle knots in odd places on my body, arms and legs. They migrate too. My bicept will knot up, then my hamstring, then my wrist, and then my peck and so on. It is all so odd. I've been catching myself clenching my jaw while driving too. I'll have to start carrying my mouth guard ( I grind my teeth in my sleep) where ever I go. I want it all to be over.
We finally have all our financial stuff together for Friday's closing. We had to provide a lot of extra paperwork because we're getting a state sposored mortgage. It's designed for first time homebuyers that may not have what it takes to get in to that first house. It requires a lot more background checks, certain income restraints, etc. It's been a lot of work getting all the stuff together. Thank God that we have a great loan processor. (You're the best, Lupe!) So we close on Friday, and then its ours. We'll start painting and putting in extra plumbing right away on Friday. My brother-in-law, BT, is plumbing us a gas stove hook up and water lines for our ice maker. We should be able to do the big move next weekend.
We may not have furniture for a while. It's so difficult to find stuff we both like. It's either cheap and cheaply made or expensive and well made (we both agree on that). UGH! Here's to sitting on lawn chairs!
I'm tired now. I'll catch you all later. A wish for my trip to Houston - I just want a nap...

The Gospel According to Spongebob
Have you ever heard of the "Tao According to Poo?" This is sort of like that. I found this dialog from "Spongebob Square Pants" as a prelude to one of the chapters in the newest "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" book. It says so much. It makes me think. Here it is...
Patrick: I'm mad.
Spongebob: What's the matter, Patrick?
Patrick: I can't see my forehead.
How many times have you felt like Patrick? You can't see your forehead. You know it's there, and you want to see it. Or you have a problem that makes you mad because you can't figure out a solution. There are so many ways you can interpret it. Where do you go to get un-mad, look at things from another angle, find a way to the solution. I know who would have an answer for Patrick, a clue of where to look is in the title of this post. Love you all!

Condo Pictures
Come and see pictures of my new condo! I made a temporary blog for them so my future in-laws could pick up the pictures easily. Have fun.

Dead, DEAD Bug
So, the nice man from VW Roadside Assistance came and jumped my car this morning. She was running fine. I let her go for at least an hour, even driving around for a bit. I put her up thinking that I was good and charged, and when I went to take her out again this afternoon, she was deader than ever. There wasn't even enough power to lock the doors. UGH! So, I made another call to VW RA and they are sending yet another tow truck to rescue me. It's a good thing I didn't attempt to go to work. I'd be stuck there insted of in the comfort of my own crappy apartment. They will be here within two hours, so I'll get some house work done. I'd rather be doing the errands I set out to do; the ones that we couldn't get done over the weekend. POed, I am.
On a brighter note, did anyone catch Desperate Housewives or West Wing last night? I don't have cable, so it's slim pickin's and usually PBS for me. Can you believe that Bree's mother-in-law is trying to frame her for Rex's death? And how about the leak on WW... who do you think it is - CJ, Toby? It's all too much. My brain is in overdrive now that the only two shows I care about are back-to-back on Sunday nights.
Check out my uber cute Godson on The Berry Page. He was in his first wedding last weekend, and looks so cute in a tux. TTFN! :)

Dead Bug
This is my 2002, VW NewBeetle, Grasshopper. She is dead right now. Rook and I planned on spending the day shopping for stuff for our new condo, but the fates were against us. We hopped in Grasshopper, I turned the key, and click, click, click. Several lights went on, and after consultating my owners manual, I think I have an electrical problem. It sounds as if my starter is trying to crank, and the battery is not dead. I have a strange feeling that electricity is not getting to my fuel pump. Any fuel pump work would suck since I have a full tank of gas, which I spent close to $40 on yesterday. This sucks! I am now left here wondering if I'll make it to church tomorrow, or better yet, how I'm going to deal with work on Monday. I'm going to have to have her towed, and none of the service places are open until Monday. I'm stuck with a dead bug and no way to get anywhere. Sigh. This is not what I needed to happen two weeks before we close on our first house.
